2027 Range Rover Facelift Spied Ahead of Debut: Luxury SUV Gets Major Cabin Overhaul and First-Ever Electric Version

2027 Range Rover Spotted Testing: Luxury SUV Set for Major Cabin Upgrade and First-Ever Electric Version

Key Highlights

  • 2027 Range Rover facelift spotted testing at the Nürburgring ahead of its global debut.
  • Updated model expected to feature a redesigned interior with new technology and premium materials.
  • First-ever fully electric Range Rover set to join the lineup with an 800V architecture and up to 550 PS.

Luxury SUV buyers may have something big to look forward to. The upcoming 2027 Range Rover facelift has been spotted testing at Germany’s Nürburgring circuit, giving enthusiasts an early look at the next evolution of JLR’s flagship SUV. While the exterior changes appear subtle, major updates are expected inside the cabin, alongside the debut of the brand’s first fully electric Range Rover.

Nürburgring Testing Hints at Important Mechanical Updates

Recent spy shots show a heavily camouflaged Range Rover prototype undergoing high-speed testing at the famous Nürburgring, often referred to as the “Green Hell.” Engineers appear to be fine-tuning the SUV’s handling, ride quality, and overall driving dynamics before its anticipated global reveal later this year.

Despite the camouflage, the facelifted model appears to receive revised LED headlights, a refreshed grille, and a redesigned front bumper. The rear styling remains largely unchanged, retaining the clean and sophisticated look that has become synonymous with the Range Rover name.

Premium Interior Overhaul on the Way

While the exterior tweaks are relatively modest, the biggest transformation is expected inside the cabin. Reports suggest the 2027 Range Rover will introduce a new curved display setup stretching across the dashboard, bringing a more modern and technology-focused experience.

The luxury SUV is also expected to receive upgraded materials, fresh interior themes, enhanced comfort features, and a redesigned dashboard layout. Interestingly, JLR may bring back select physical controls to improve usability and meet customer preferences in key global markets, including China.

Familiar Engines with Improved Efficiency

The facelifted Range Rover is likely to continue offering its existing powertrain lineup, including the 3.0-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine and the powerful 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 sourced from BMW.

Although power figures are expected to remain similar, JLR is reportedly focusing on improving fuel efficiency and refinement across the range.

First-Ever Electric Range Rover Arrives

The biggest headline for 2027 is the arrival of the all-electric Range Rover. Built on a new 800V platform, the luxury EV will feature a 118 kWh battery pack and dual electric motors producing 550 PS and 850 Nm of torque.

Designed to retain the brand’s legendary off-road capability, the electric Range Rover will offer up to 850 mm of water-wading depth while delivering instant electric performance and ultra-quiet luxury.

UAE Launch Expectations

The updated Range Rover and its electric counterpart are expected to make their global debut before the end of 2026, with UAE deliveries likely to follow shortly after. The electric version is expected to command a premium price tag, potentially exceeding AED 1.5 million, positioning it among the most luxurious electric SUVs on sale in the region.
