2026 Toyota GR Corolla: Unleashing Next-Level Performance with Rally-Inspired Features

Toyota GR Corolla has already been well recognized as one of the most exciting hot hatchbacks in the market, and with new features and hardware updates in the 2026 model year, the automaker has taken the performance benchmarks to the next level. With sharper handling, superior rigidity, and added premium touches, the 2026 Toyota Corolla presents itself as more capable than ever. Under the hood, the new GR Corolla features a 1.6-liter, 3-cylinder turbocharged G16E-GTS engine, producing 300 horsepower at 6.500 RPM and 295 lb ft of torque. The engine unit is paired with a 6-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission or a newly refined 8-speed GAZOO Racing Direct Automatic, ensuring drivers get raw manual excitement or quick, intuitive automatic shifts depending upon their driving preferences.

Toyota has also equipped the 2026 Corolla with the GR-FOUR AWD system, which is developed alongside its World Rally Championship program. It also has selectable driving modes, including Normal (60:40), Gravel (50:50), and Track (30:70), adapting seamlessly to dirt trails, snow, or racing circuits.

There is also a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster for offering necessary information on the screen, as well as an 8-inch multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Wi-Fi hotspot capability.

For safety features, the GR Corolla comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes advanced safety features like pre-collision assist, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure warning, and road sign alert.
