Toyota has expanded its iconic Camry lineup with the launch of the 2026 Toyota Camry Nightshade Edition. The new model features sleek, blacked-out accents and a hybrid powertrain, offering Toyota customers a solid option that combines Camry's already bold character with a new level of sporty customization.

The Toyota Camry Nightshade Edition enhances the sedan's modern appeal with Midnight Black Metallic exterior elements, gloss black badging, and unique 19-inch alloy wheels. In the front, it features a standard grille and side canards and also houses mirror caps, a shark fin antenna, a rear diffuser, and a spoiler. Customers have three different exterior color options, including Ice Cap, Supersonic Red, and Midnight Black Metallic, each featuring Nightshade's stealth-inspired touches.
The Nightshade Edition joins existing trims of Camry, which include LE, SE, XLE, and XSE grades. Now the customers have five options to enjoy Toyota's best-selling midsize sedan. Similar to existing trims, the Nightshade Edition is available in both Front Wheel Drive and all-wheel drive options.

Additionally, the entire 2026 Camry lineup is now powered by a hybrid powertrain, delivering exceptional efficiency without compromising on performance. The LE FWD grade comes with an MPG combined rating that makes it one of the most stylish and practical variants of the Toyota Camry.
Under the hood, the Camry features a fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS) that pairs with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine to produce 225 horsepower in FWD options and 232 horsepower in AWD variants. The powertrain setup has been tuned to deliver a natural-feeling acceleration, responsive power delivery, and seamless integration with an electronically controlled CVT, resulting in a smooth and sporty driving experience. There is also an Electronic On-Demand AWD configuration that enhances traction and control by properly distributing torque to the rear wheels whenever needed.

Along with the Nightshade Edition, other grades, such as SE and XSE, feature sport-tuned suspension and larger stabilizer bars for enhanced cornering and stability. There are three driving modes: Normal, Eco, and Sport, allowing drivers to customize each drive based on road conditions and their mood.
Inside the cabin, a sporty theme prevails, featuring a Black SofTex-trimmed interior enhanced with bold accents and aluminum sport pedals. There is also a 7-inch digital gauge cluster as standard, which higher trims, such as XSE, receive a 12.3-inch display with advanced options, including a head-up display and a premium JBL audio system.
The 2026 Camry is also equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite, which includes critical safety features such as a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar cruise control, and lane departure warning.
In terms of availability, the 2026 Camry Nightshade Edition and other refreshed grades will become available in Fall 2025, with the price announcement expected during the launch.
