Lexus, Toyota’s luxury vehicle arm, has unveiled its all-new Lexus LC 500 Convertible, a sophisticated blend of performance, craftsmanship, and convertible freedom. Built in Lexus’ Motomachi Plant in Japan, the LC 500 Convertible has received several updates for the 2026 model year, which is led by a new Inspiration Series limited to 350 units in North America.

For this new model year LC 500, the Japanese luxury car brand has offered a stunning exterior color option called Wind, paired with a brown and silver convertible top, darkened exterior accents, and exclusive badging. Inside the cabin are Saddle Tan and White semi-aniline leather seats that take the luxury experience to the next level.
Along with the launch of the 2026 Lexus LC 500 Convertible, Lexus has also come up with its Bespoke Build Program that enables customers worldwide to personalize their LC with options like carbon fiber scuff plates, all-black wheels, and customer interior colors. Each Bespoke Build includes a certificate of authenticity printed on traditional washi paper, signed by LC Chief Engineer Yasushi Muto.
The LC 500 Convertible’s coupe with roof cut-off design offers drivers an opportunity to enjoy a unique and exhilarating driving experience. Lexus engineers have improved Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), tuned the rear performance road, and integrated a limited-slip differential to assure precise cornering on narrow or city roads.
Under the hood, the new Lexus LC 500 Convertible boasts a 5.0-liter V8 engine that makes up 471 horsepower and 535 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, the LC 500 Convertible is capable of sprinting 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and attaining a top speed of 270 km/h.
To extend the luxury experience, the LC Convertible’s four-layer soft top folds in about 15 seconds at a speed of 50 km/h thanks to its hydraulic system with electromagnetic valve. The smooth folding mechanism system is inspired by Japanese calligraphy, and once retracted, a tonneau cover properly closes the storage area.
There are four color options, including Red and Blue, available for the convertible top. For interiors, the Lexus LC 500 buyers can choose from Black, Rioja Red, Toasted Caramel, and the new Saddle Tan/White combination for the Inspiration Series.
Lexus has designed its new LC 500 Convertible to deliver efficient performance in all seasons. It has a Climate Concierge system that automatically adjusts heating and cooling based on the top position. The luxury convertible coupe has heated seats, neck heaters, steering wheel heating, and automatic A/C settings for year-round comfort. Lexus has also improved the aerodynamics and sound insulation, using a polycarbonate wind deflector and a standard windscreen to minimize turbulence.
For technology features, Lexus has equipped its new LC 500 Convertible with a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen with Lexus Interface providing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Cloud Navigation, voice assist, and a 3-month SiriusXM trial. Lexus’ luxury car packs a Wi-Fi hotspot with a 4G LTE connectivity feature for up to five devices.
It gets Remote Connect features that allow drivers to start the engine, lock/unlock doors, or activate hazard lights with their smartphone. There are Safety Connect and Service Connect offers for up to 10 years that include emergency response and vehicle health monitoring.
Lexus has also equipped its LC 500 Convertible with Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which comprises a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar cruise control with full stop and go, lane departure warning with steering assist, and road sign assist.
