2026 Land Rover Discovery Sport Unveiled Globally

Land Rover has revealed its 2026 Discovery Sport globally, featuring a more aggressive exterior and upgraded interior features. The updated Land Rover Discovery Sport lineup includes special edition trims, major cosmetic updates, a refreshed interior, and added tech features. While the Discovery Sport is unveiled globally, it is currently available in the United Kingdom at a starting price of 45,440 euros (approx. AED 191,300). In global markets, including the UAE, the updated Land Rover Discovery is expected to arrive by the end of 2025 or early 2026.

The compact all-wheel drive Discovery Sport SUV has three variants: Dynamic S, Landmark, and Metropolitan. The base Dynamic S variant gets darker exterior elements with a gloss-black finish on the grille, bumpers, and other exterior parts. It also features updated alloy wheels for a more refreshed appeal than previous generations. Inside the cabin, the SUV gets an 11.4-inch curved touchscreen infotainment system with a Pivi Pro interface, connected car technology, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a fully digital driver display. There are also paddle shifters and more premium quality interior materials.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport Landmark Edition is launched in the UK at 49,100 euros (approx AED 206,700). This trim has been configured to honor 35 years of the Discovery nameplate and features elements from the original 1989 model, like mountain graphics on door sills. Inside the cabin, the variant gets a 360-degree camera setup, panoramic sunroof, roof rails, and the brand’s ‘Click & Go’ rear seat tablet holders.

The top-of-the-line variant, Metropolitan Edition, is priced at 55,885 euros (approx. AED 235,300) and specifically focuses on offering the utmost luxury to buyers. It gets silver-finished Discovery badging on the bonnet and tailgate, along with Indus Silver elements on the front and rear skid plates. The front grille packs a silver foil insert, Metropolitan-branded tread plates for doors, and 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Additionally, this variant has several tech features like 14-way power adjustable Windsor leather seats with proper heating and ventilation function, a 14-speaker 650W Meridian audio system, a cabin air filter, and a digital rearview mirror.

All three 2026 Land Rover Discovery Sport variants have 4WD and hybrid technology. The diesel variants offer two iterations of a 2.0-liter Ingenium engine, delivering 161 bhp and 201 bhp, respectively; both options are configured with 48V mild-hybrid technology for better stop-start function. The plug-in hybrid variant is also available, and it is coupled with a petrol engine with a single electric motor and a 15 kWh battery pack, delivering 265 bhp and 58km of all-electric range.

Since the updated Discovery Sport will be imported in the UAE, the showroom prices for this luxury SUV will be on the higher end compared to the brand’s local market.
