2026 GAC Empow R Launched in UAE; First Look & Specification Details

Gargash Motors has officially unveiled the 2026 GAC EMPOW R at an exclusive event held in UAE, reflecting its commitment to delivering customers high-performance and innovative automotive products. The new EMPOW R gets a more powerful engine than the standard trims available in the market and also features an aggressive body kit and a refined interior with a sporty style. EMPOW R is the first performance-oriented model from GAC and is available at a competitive price in the UAE.

At this launch event, senior management from Gargash Motors and GAC Motor made their presence, including Morgan Sunderland, GM of Gargash Motors and Khaled El Assal, GAC National Sales Management from Gargash Motors, and Mark Zhang, GM of GAC Motor International Middle East.

The all-new GAC EMPOW R has a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 265 hp engine power output and 400 Nm of torque. The EMPOW R can sprint 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. It comes mated with ZF 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, electric steering system, Bosch ESP, Continental 4-piston fixed calipers, and Michelin performance tires.

GAC EMPOW R price in UAE starts from AED 119,900 and comes with a comprehensive warranty cover of 5 years and a complimentary service of 2 years. The new EMPOW R is available in five color options: Black, White, Grey, Matte Grey, and Silver. Inside the cabin, the vehicle boasts premium front bucket seats upholstered in suede and leather with a carbon fiber accent.

It offers an advanced driver assistance system, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and autonomous emergency braking. There is also lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring, along with other safety features. For EMPOW R specifications, GAC has provided an 8-speaker Yamaha sound system, a 10.25-inch dual LCD cluster, and a 360-degree surround view camera with an intelligent parking system.
