The flagship Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class gets some subtle updates for the 2024 model. The model was initially launched in 1997, and after four generations, the model started offering a GLE tag, equipped with a large and powerful engine in the Mercedes-Benz SUV lineup. The German carmaker introduced the facelift for this fourth-generation SUV, named the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE.

One can find some subtle visual changes, including refined grille, accent on air intakes, and updated lighting elements within the headlamps and taillights. There are some similar elements from Maybach, such as Piano Black Flowing Lines Trim, an updated steering wheel with capacitive touch buttons, and some chrome work on AC vents.
The most prominent change in the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE is the new plug-in hybrid trim, called the GLE 400e 4Matic. The variant features a 2.0-liter petrol engine and 134 HP electric motor with a combined capacity of 381 HP and 650 Nm of torque. The Mercedes-Benz SUV can also run only on an electric motor, but the top range and other performance details are yet to be announced. The carmaker has also provided 48V mild-hybrid technology in all other trims, making the entire lineup of 2024 GLE electrified.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 and GLE 63 S also have some visual updates. Under the hood, almost everything has remained the same other than a larger turbo engine capable of producing 560 Nm of torque. Some standard features like an air balance package, head-up display, and more comfort features are standard. According to updates, the upcoming GLE can also have an off-road engineering package, particularly GLE 580 trim, lifting the car by 30 mm and providing underride guards.
The facelift of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE offers more power to the SUV and makes it capable of giving strong competition to potential rivals. The SUV is expected to be available for sale by the end of the year, along with price details.
