The Philippines is set for a major boost in electric vehicle infrastructure as ACMobility and Robinsons Land Corporation officially announced plans to roll out more than 200 EV charging stations nationwide.
The large-scale deployment will cover Robinsons malls, residential towers, office buildings, hotels, and mixed-use developments across multiple regions in the country. The expansion is already underway in 2026 and forms part of Robinsons Land’s “GoCharge” initiative aimed at supporting sustainable mobility.
The initial deployment will cover several key locations across the Philippines, including:
The project aims to strengthen what ACMobility calls the “Philippine EV Spine,” helping EV owners travel more comfortably across the country.
The rollout follows the implementation of the Philippines’ Republic Act 11697, also known as the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA).
The law requires building owners and commercial establishments to allocate parking spaces and infrastructure support for electric vehicles, encouraging wider EV adoption nationwide.
Industry analysts believe the growing demand for EVs, combined with expanding charging infrastructure, is pushing developers and mobility companies to invest heavily in electrified transportation.
ACMobility, formerly known as AC Motors, is one of the Philippines’ major automotive groups and handles brands such as:
According to the company, it already operates EV charging infrastructure in more than 200 locations across the Philippines as of April 2026.
CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala said the partnership comes at a crucial time as more Filipinos show interest in switching to electric mobility.
Robinsons Land Corporation says the collaboration will help future-proof its growing property portfolio while improving accessibility for EV owners.
The company first introduced public EV charging stations at Robinsons Galleria in 2022 before gradually expanding to other locations including Robinsons Magnolia and Robinsons Tagaytay.
The rollout of more than 200 EV charging stations marks another major step toward wider electric vehicle adoption in the Philippines. With expanding infrastructure across Metro Manila and provincial regions, EV ownership is becoming increasingly practical for Filipino drivers.
As competition in the EV market grows and infrastructure improves, partnerships like this between ACMobility and Robinsons Land could play a major role in shaping the country’s future mobility landscape.
