Chery has now introduced its premium brand, Jaecoo, to Thailand following its introduction in Malaysia. It just provided a sneak peek at the Jaecoo J6, a brand-new battery-electric car that will go on sale in Thailand during the fourth quarter of 2024. The J8 and J7 models will be available in the portfolio in addition to the new battery-electric car J6.
The dimensions of the Jaecoo J6 are 1,910 mm in width, 4,406 mm in length, 1,715 mm in height, and 2,715 mm in wheelbase. Its 69.8 kWh battery has a claimed driving range of up to 501 km (CLTC). It generates about 279 horsepower and 385 Nm of combined output when used in single-motor rear-wheel drive or dual-motor all-wheel drive versions.
As the vehicles for the Thai market approach their end of 2024 launch, more details about their right-hand drive specs will become available. The Jaecoo J6 variations with a right-hand drive are currently unavailable, hence the vehicle that has been previewed keeps its left-hand drive configuration.

The plug-in hybrid Jaecoo 8 SUV will also be available in Thailand. It is positioned as a more upscale option above the Chery Tiggo 8. The dimensions of the Jaecoo 8 are 1,930 mm in width, 1710 mm in height, 4,820 mm in length, and 2,800 mm on the wheelbase.
It can go from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.4 seconds and has 605 horsepower and 915 Nm of torque. Along with the "All Road Drive Intelligent System" and three rows of seats, it boasts a 175 km pure electric range.
A significant step toward encouraging sustainable transportation has been taken with the release of the Jaecoo 8 PHEV and Jaecoo 6 EV by Jaecoo & Omoda. In response to environmental concerns, Thailand, one of the largest automobile markets in Southeast Asia, has started embracing hybrid and electric vehicles.

Thai consumers' willingness to adopt alternative fuel technologies is demonstrated by the introduction of the Jaecoo 8 PHEV and Jaecoo 6 EV in Thailand during the latter quarter of 2024.
The unveiling of the Jaecoo J6 and J8 models in Thailand signals an exciting development in the automotive industry. With a planned launch set for the fourth quarter of 2024, car enthusiasts can anticipate the arrival of these new vehicles with eager anticipation. The introduction of these models highlights Jaecoo's commitment to innovation and meeting the diverse needs of consumers. As they prepare to hit the roads later this year, the Jaecoo J6 and J8 promise to bring fresh features and performance enhancements to drivers in Thailand and beyond.
