Hyundai plans to increase its hybrid lineup from 7 to 14 models by 2030.
The Genesis brand will include luxury hybrid models.
By 2030, Hyundai will offer 21 electric vehicle models, covering high-performance, budget-friendly, and luxury categories.
The new hybrid system integrates electric motors with internal combustion engines for improved efficiency.
This expansion reflects Hyundai’s commitment to adapting to market demands and enhancing their vehicle offerings.
In 2026, Hyundai will launch its series hybrid technology, with the first model coming out globally in 2027. Announced at the 2024 CEO Investor Day, this new Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) tech will use both electric motors and internal combustion engines.
The new EREV models will have a combined range of over 900 km by using both electric motors and internal combustion engines. These vehicles will target the Chinese and North American markets, feature four-wheel drive, and use two electric motors for better performance.

In a series hybrid system, the internal combustion engine acts as a generator, not directly powering the wheels. Instead, it charges an electric motor that drives the wheels, which helps cut costs by needing smaller batteries.
Hyundai plans to double its hybrid lineup to 14 models by 2030, including luxury options under its Genesis brand. By the same year, they will offer 21 different electric vehicles, covering high-performance, budget-friendly, and luxury categories.
This new hybrid technology shows Hyundai's dedication to improving their cars. By combining electric motors with internal combustion engines, they aim to provide more efficient and versatile vehicles. This move aligns with Hyundai's strategy to adapt to market changes and expand its offerings.
Hyundai is set to expand its hybrid and electric vehicle offerings significantly by 2030. With plans to double its hybrid lineup to 14 models and introduce a diverse range of 21 electric vehicles, including luxury options under Genesis, Hyundai is committed to advancing automotive technology. This strategy highlights their focus on versatility and efficiency, aiming to meet evolving consumer demands and enhance their overall product lineup.
