If you're in the market for a reliable and rugged off-road SUV in the UAE, you have several options from well-known automobile brands. One standout is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser, a beloved choice among adventure and off-road enthusiasts. With over 70 years of history, it's a vehicle that has repeatedly proven itself on challenging trails. It's in great company, alongside other luxury off-road icons like the Jeep Wrangler and Land Rover Defender, all built to tackle the toughest terrains while delivering comfort and style. While the newest version of the Toyota Land Cruiser does not receive any major design changes, it retains a ladder frame chassis with a body mounted on top.

The 2025 Land Cruiser continues getting striking silhouettes defined by contrasting lines, while the bonnet receives a vertical grille at a nearly 90-degree angle. The SUV has undergone subtle refinements in a frontal design language, making it look wider and stronger for an authoritative presence. However, the vehicle is specially designed for exceptional off-road performance; it misses out on some comfort for driving on highways or urban roads. Compared to its rivals, it also has slow braking during panic stops and comes with a smaller cargo area, which is extendable by folding third-row seats.
Following CarBike360’s expert review series for popular SUVs in the UAE, this article will review the Toyota Land Cruiser 2025. It will help you understand whether it is worth buying when players like Land Rover, Jeep, and Mercedes-Benz have already introduced technologically advanced, luxury off-road SUVs.

The GCC-spec Toyota Land Cruiser models blend modern yet classic designs to maintain an authoritative stance when driving on or off-road. The Japanese automaker has offered a striking silhouette enhanced with sharply contrasting lines and a complete vertical front grille to add to its rugged appeal. The exterior of this off-road vehicle gets a panoramic sunroof, integrated roof rails, and auto headlight leveling, which add further premium stance.

Moreover, Toyota has offered sleek but distinctive LED headlamps & DRLs, and front fog lamps. The Land Cruiser SUV receives headlight cleaners, chrome side protection molding, and a powered rear door. For an added premium look and feel, it has a retractable side mirror and GR-Sport or AEROKIT front and rear bumpers, which may vary depending on the trim.

Additionally, there are 18-inch off-road GR-Sport or 20-inch premium alloy wheel options. The SUV measures 1980 mm in length, 1920 mm in width, and 5115 mm in height, while it weighs 3230 kg.

Over the years, Toyota has improved the interior of its Land Cruiser SUV's interior to keep up with the market trends and gain more luxury car buyers. The latest iteration of the Toyota Land Cruiser comes with a walnut wood trip package around the interior, leather, a wood steering wheel, and a 7-inch multi-information display. Additionally, it features a push-button start function, electronic parking brakes, and brake hold features.

For added convenience, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen is paired with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a wireless charger. Toyota has equipped this SUV with a premium sound system with 14 JBL speakers and an 11-inch entertainment screen for rear passengers.

The front row has powered and ventilated seats for both driver and co-passenger, while the second row equips fully ventilated seats. In the third row, there are powered seats that allow passengers to fold these to increase space for luggage. The new Toyota Land Cruiser has four-zone climate control and advanced navigation features. The higher spec trims of Land Cruiser offer premium sport leather seat material and some sporty stance across the steering wheel.
The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser offers several safety features, including a pre-collision system, a 3D multi-terrain monitor, ABS, an e-call feature, a parking support brake, and adaptive variable suspension.

The SUV has multiple front, driver knee, and side airbags, a parking support brake, a dynamic radar cruise control system, a blind spot monitor, and front, rear, and center differential locks.
The 5-door SUV from Toyota is available in two powertrain options: 3.5-liter twin turbo and 4-liter V6 engine. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder petrol engine, paired with 10-speed automatic transmission and 4x4 drivetrain, can produce 409 horsepower and 650 Nm of peak torque.

The vehicle has a 110-liter fuel tank capacity, while this engine is claimed to deliver 9.3 km/l of fuel mileage on highways. On the other hand, the 4-liter V6 petrol engine coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission churns out 271 horsepower and 385 Nm of peak torque, delivering up to 9.4 km/l of fuel mileage.

Toyota offers six trims of the Land Cruiser off-road SUV in the UAE. The three trims have a 3.5-liter twin-turbo engine, while the others have a 4-liter V6 engine.
The Toyota Land Cruiser's 4.0-liter V6 engine-equipped trims are 4L EXR, 4L GXR, and 4L VXR, while the 3.5-liter twin-turbo engine-equipped variants include 3.5L GXR, 3.5L VXR, and 3.5L GR-Sport.
The price of a Toyota Land Cruiser in the UAE for its entry-level 4.0L GXR trim starts at AED 269,900 and goes up to AED 310,900 for the 4.0L VXR variant. The 3.5L GXR trim costs AED 329,900, while AED 377,900 and AED 412,900 for the 3.5 VXR and GR-Sport, respectively.
The Toyota Land Cruiser is a premium off-road SUV that often rivals the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, Jeep Wrangler, and Land Rover Defender. However, it lacks some luxurious interior and premium feel, especially in base variants, to outrank its top rivals. Despite this, the Land Cruiser is a popular SUV with unmatched off-road drive performance. The 7-seater SUV has enough space for passengers and can fold third-row seats to extend the luggage area, making it ideal for family car buyers willing to enjoy adventure trails or long trips with family.
