Get ready to feel emotional because it's time to say goodbye to the first batch of cars discounted for 2025. Five cars, in particular, have captured our hearts and made us petrol heads quite emotional…
Oh, the Nissan GT-R. This car showed that Japanese automakers could compete with the Germans. To this day, the GT-R is the only car that made the 911 nervous. At its peak, Nissan's engineers gave Porsche a real challenge. However, the GT-R is now 15 years old, and Nissan believes it's time to let the Godzilla rest.
The Giulia Quadrifoglio marked Alfa Romeo's comeback, boasting a stunning design and an efficient V6 engine, quickly attracting M3 buyers. While Alfa initially hinted at ending the Giulia entirely, Alfa's North American Head, Larry Dominique, announced on LinkedIn that the Giulia QF would only be discontinued in the US and Canada. However, the QF version is also absent from Alfa UAE’s website.
Another competitor of the 911 is soon to disappear. The years 2015-18 were peak times for sports cars – the F-Type brought fun, the GT-R was the track monster, and the 911 was the all-rounder. YouTube was filled with comparison videos; soon, two of the big three will be gone. Jaguar marked the end of the F-Type's production with a special model.
An American icon will soon say goodbye. Next year, Chevrolet will end the entire Camaro model range, retiring the iconic nameplate. The final generation of the Camaro, the sixth, featured 650 horsepower and a manual gearbox. Chevrolet might bring back the Camaro name, but it will likely be for an all-electric car. Like the Alfa Giulia, you might still be able to find a brand-new Camaro at some Chevy dealers.
The last vehicle on this list isn't technically a car; it's a pickup that can challenge even sports cars. The Ram 1500 TRX won't make it into 2025, being replaced by the 1500 RHO. The new model will have less horsepower and be slightly cheaper. The 1500 TRX is still available on Ram's UAE website, so you have a chance to get one while stocks last.
The end of production for these iconic vehicles marks a significant shift in the automotive landscape. From the formidable Nissan GT-R to the stylish Jaguar F-Type and the powerful Ram 1500 TRX, enthusiasts are saying goodbye to some beloved models.
However, while these vehicles may be discontinued, their legacy and impact on the car world will be remembered for years to come. For those looking to own a piece of history, a few remaining models might still be available until dealer stocks are depleted.
