First launched in late 2022, the eleventh-generation Honda Accord replaced the popular tenth-generation model. Built on the Honda Architecture (HA) global platform, also used by the new CR-V, the Accord is available in the UAE in two versions: the 1.5L and the e:HEV hybrid.
Competing with high-selling rivals like the Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima isn't easy. However, dismissing the Accord as just another midsize family sedan would be a mistake. This Honda offers more than it seems, and even its hybrid variant is a solid choice.
The 2024 Honda Accord stands out for two reasons: its stunning design and timeless appeal. Although the new Civic follows a similar design language, the Accord’s larger size enhances these features. Its wedge-shaped front end, sleek headlights, and wide grille create an impressive, broad stance.
The low nose and long hood create a striking first impression, and it's not just for looks—the front grille has active shutters to improve aerodynamics and engine cooling. The Accord's side profile features a sleek fastback silhouette and sharp shoulder line, enhanced by flowing contours and stylish two-tone 18-inch wheels, giving it an elegant presence on the road.
At the rear, the large LED taillights suit the Accord’s size, though the numerous individual LED units could be more cohesive. The spacious trunk lid design is appealing, and the absence of fake exhaust tips is a refreshing touch!
Inside the 2024 Honda Accord, the cabin impresses with its versatile and user-friendly design. Whether you're experienced or tech-savvy, it caters to all. The 10.2-inch digital driver display and 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen are clear, intuitive, and highly functional. Convenient physical controls simplify operation, ensuring a hassle-free experience.
The honeycomb-patterned AC vents look stylish, with well-weighted direction tabs. The leather-wrapped steering wheel has a solid, comfortable feel, and the tablet-style touchscreen is user-friendly, though the small power and volume knob below it seems out of place. The combination of gloss black, chrome accents, and stitched leather adds a refined touch to the interior.
Finding a comfortable driving position is easy thanks to adjustable seats and steering, and visibility to the front and sides is good. Rear-seat passengers enjoy ample knee room and comfortable seats, although the absence of dedicated headrests is a notable drawback. Covered cupholders in the armrest are a thoughtful detail.
Rear passengers have access to basic air vents and USB Type-C ports, while the front offers two more USB ports, a wireless charger, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Enhancing the infotainment experience is a 12-speaker Bose audio system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The cabin remains quiet, and the powerful air conditioning effectively handles the UAE's intense heat.
The 2024 Honda Accord caters well to its buyers. Higher trims include dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, an electric sunroof, automatic LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and a head-up display. Convenience features like keyless entry and start, Bluetooth connectivity, an electronic parking brake, parking sensors all around, a wide-angle rear camera, and active noise cancellation add to its appeal.
The new Accord also excels in safety features. It includes lane departure mitigation, lane-keeping assist, hill-start assist, vehicle stability control, six airbags, and Honda LaneWatch. For those unfamiliar, LaneWatch uses a live camera feed from the passenger-side mirror to minimize blind spots.
Additional safety highlights include adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation with obstacle detection, automatic high beams, and a head-up display (HUD).
The petrol-only Honda Accord is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 192 hp and 260 Nm. The engine delivers a lively performance, revving smoothly and efficiently—true to Honda’s reputation. Honda claims it achieves 17.3 km/L (5.8 L/100 km), which is quite impressive. Meanwhile, the hybrid Accord e:HEV offers even better fuel efficiency, returning 24.9 km/L or 4.0 L/100 km.
The Accord Hybrid is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a lithium-ion battery, generating a combined 203 hp and 335 Nm. The powertrain is smooth and responsive, offering solid performance when needed. It can accelerate to 100 km/h in about 7 seconds, with both versions topping out around 190 km/h. The standard Accord reaches 100 km/h in around 8 seconds.
The Accord handles impressively, offering a comfortable ride with predictable behavior. Its powertrain is smooth and easy to manage, delivering a stable driving experience. This sedan strikes a balance between sporty performance and comfort, with a CVT that adds a touch of excitement without feeling dull.
The 2024 Honda Accord is a strong contender in the midsize family sedan category. It handles corners well and absorbs bumps with ease, making it a solid choice. Priced between AED 114,900 and AED 165,900, the Accord offers good value. Alternatively, you can explore used Honda Accords in Dubai here.

With its smooth handling, efficient powertrains, and well-equipped interior, the Accord is an excellent option for families and drivers seeking a reliable and stylish ride. Despite its price range, it delivers great value, making it a strong contender against its rivals in the UAE market.
